"Wealth has no permanence: it comes in the morning,
and at night it is scattered to the winds.
Physical beauty too has no importance,
for a rosy face is made pale by the scratch of a single thorn.
Noble birth also is of small account,
for many become fools of money and horses.
Many a nobleman's son has disgraced his father by his wicked deeds.
Don't court a person full of talent either,
even if he seems exquisite in that respect:
take warning from the example of Iblis1 Devil.
Iblis had knowledge, but since his love was not pure,
he saw in Adam nothing but a figure of clay."

The Delight Derived from the Prayers:
"The window of my soul opens,
and from the purity of the Unseen World,
the Book of Allah{SWT} comes to me straight.
The Book, the rain of Divine Grace, and the Light
are falling through my window into my house
from my real and original source.
The house without a window is Hell:
to make a window, O servant of Allah{SWT},
is the foundation of the true Religion.
Don't thrust your axe upon every thicket:
come, use your axe to cut open a window."

"Be always at work scraping the dirt from the well.
To everyone who suffers, perseverance brings good fortune.
The Prophet has said that each prostration of prayer is a knock on heaven's door.
When anyone continues to knock, felicity shows its smiling face."
[Rumi, Love is a Stranger]
--
"From the ritual prayer, which is as the egg,
hatch the chick;
don't peck like a bird
without reverence or felicity."
