Supplications from the Quran


Qur'an 2:127

"Our Lord! Accept (this service) from us: For You are the All-Hearing, the All-knowing."

Rabbana taqabbal minna innaka anta As-sameeu al-Aaleem


Qur'an 2:128

"Our Lord! make of us Muslims, bowing to Your (Will), and of our progeny a people Muslim, bowing to Your (will); and show us our place for the celebration of (due) rites; and turn unto us (in Mercy); for You are the Oft-Returning, Most Merciful.

Rabana waj 'aalna muslimayni laka wamin thurriyyatina ommatan muslimatan laka waarina manasikana watub 'aalayna innaka anta at-Tawwabu ar-Raheemu


Qur'an 2:201

"Our Lord! Give us good in this world and good in the Hereafter, and defend us from the torment of the Fire!"

Rabana atina fi-ddunya hasanatan wa fil aakhirati hasanatan wa qina 'Aathaba annar


Qur'an 2:250

"Our Lord! Pour out constancy on us and make our steps firm: Help us against those that reject faith."

Rabana afrigh 'alayna sabran wathabbit aqdamana wansurna 'aala alqawmi alkafireen


Qur'an 2:286

"Our Lord Condemn us not if we forget or fall into error; our Lord! Lay not on us a burden Like that which You did lay on those before us; Our Lord Lay not on us a burden greater than we have strength to bear. Blot out our sins, and grant us forgiveness. Have mercy on us. You are our Protector; Help us against those who stand against faith."

Rabana la tuakhithna in naseena aw akhta'na
Rabana wala tahmil 'aalayna isran kama hamaltahu 'aala allatheena min qablina
rabbana wala tuhammilna ma la taqata lana bihi
wa a'afu 'aanna
wa ighfirlana warhamna
anta mawlana fansurna 'aala alqawmi alkafireen


Qur'an 3:8

"Our Lord!" (they say), "Let not our hearts deviate now after You have guided us, but grant us mercy from Your own Presence; for You are the Grantor of bounties without measure.

Rabana la tuthigh qulubana ba'ada ith hadaytana
wahab lana min ladunka rahmatan
innaka anta alwahhab
