| First: Declaration of Faith and Submission
Ash-hadu anlaa-ilaaha illa-llaahu, wa ash hadu anna Muhammadan abduhu wa Rasulu
"I bear witness that there is none worthy of worship except Allah, and I bear witness that Muhammad (sallallahu alayhi wasallam) is His Devotee and His Messenger."
Second: Declaration of Allah's Glory
Subhaan-Allahi , wal hamdu-lillaahi, wa la ilaha illa Allah, wa wallahu Akbar, wala hawla wa la quwata illa billahi Al Aliyyil Atheem.
"Glory is for Allah and all Praise is due to Allah. There is none worthy of worship except Allah. Allah is the greatest. There is no power and no strength except with Allah the Most High, the Great."
Third: Declaration of the Oneness of Allah
La ilaha illa Allahu wahdahu la shareeka lahu,
lahu-l mulkou wa-lahu-l hamdu,
yuhyee wa-yumeetu,
beyadihi-l khairu wa huwa 'ala kulli shay'in Qadeer.
"There is none worthy of worship except Allah, who is alone and has no partner. To Him belongs the Kingdom and for Him is all Praise. He gives life and causes death. In His hands is all good and He has Power over everything."
Fourth: Rejection of Atheism
Allahumma inni a'uthu bika min an ushrika bika shay'an
wa ana a'lamu bihi,
wa astaghfiru-ka lima la a'lamu bihi,
tubtu anhu wa tabarra' tu minal kufri wash-shirki wal kithbi wal-ma'asi kulliha
aslamtu wa amantu wa aqulu -ilaaha illa-llaah, Muhammadan abduhu wa Rasulullah.
"O Allah! I seek protection in You, that I do not join any partner with You knowingly. I need Your forgiveness from that which I do not know. I repent from its ignorance. I free myself from disbelief and from joining partners with You and from lies and from all sins. I submit to your will, and I believe and declare; There is none worthy of worship except Allah and Muhammad (sallallaahu alayhi wasallam) is the Messenger of Allah."
Fifth: Concise Belief
Aamantu billahi kama huwa bi asmaihi wa sifaatihi, wa qabiltu jamee'a ahkamihi
"I believe in Allah as He is, with His names and qualities, and I have accepted all His orders."
Sixth (Tenets of Faith)
Aamantu billahi wa mala'ikatihi wa kutubihi wa Rusulihi wal yaumil-akhiri wal qadri khairihi wa sharrihi min Allahi Ta'ala wal-ba'athi ba'adal maut.
"I believe in Allah, in His Angels, His Scriptures, His Messengers, the Last Day, and that everything good and bad in the world is predestined by the Almighty Allah, and I believe in Resurrection after Death." | |
