What Love Demands .. Empty

"Your task is not to seek for love,
but merely to seek and find
all the barriers within yourself
that you have built against it."

[Rumi]

What Love Demands .. Thereisnodifficulty

The Prophet said, "None of you will truly believe until he loves for his brother what he loves for himself." [Bukhari: Volume 1, Book 2, Number 12]

"You will not enter Paradise until you believe and you will not believe until you love one another. Should I not direct you to something which, if you do it, you will love one another? Spread the salaam amongst yourselves. [Muslim]

"Indulge [people] with forgiveness, and enjoin kindness, and turn away from the ignorant." [Qur'an 7:199]

Whoever abides by the following three will face the exalted God’s easy reckoning and will be allowed to Paradise with God’s Mercy: bestowing upon the one who has deprived him (of something), forgiving the one who has wronged him, and joining the one who has broken the bonds of kinship.

"Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails." [Corinthians 13:4-8]

Love is a great blessing of God. We should ask those whom we wronged to forgive us and make amends before the Day when we will have no more chance for this. We will be losing our good deeds to them. If we do not have any more, we will be earning some of their misdeeds.

We should purify ourselves from hatred, envy, malice, and greed and all the other concerns of our nafs being certain that anyone who forgives a debt will be repaid tenfold by God, and anyone who forgives a wrong will be forgiven by God a hundredfold, and anyone who returns love for hatred will make of this life a paradise. That is what love demands.
